Very close to metro station and Sagrada Familia. Luggage can’t be stored at Sagrada Familia so if someone wants to visit it, this Stasher location is perfect to leave your belongings.

Welcoming front of house team. I was made to feel welcome as I entered the hotel. Left my bag for 6 hours, returned to collect and the same again excellent service. Thank you, I would use the service again.

Convenient location but would have felt more secure of they provider a receipt upon dropping it off. They did not ask for one or the booking email when I came back to get mine.

Luggage storage at the station and airport

Plenty of visitors to Karlsruhe arrive for a fair or a museum and find themselves with hours to spare and a suitcase still in tow.

Most transport works fine with hand luggage, but the real constraint is at the attractions themselves, where several key venues either restrict larger bags or send you to a cloakroom. The Kunsthalle provides free storage for anything over A4, while Messe Karlsruhe may bar bags outright and charge for the cloakroom. Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport (FKB) has no official left-luggage lockers inside the terminal due to security considerations. Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof does not currently provide any official left-luggage lockers. The station forecourt provides direct access to local tram and bus connections. The city offers direct access to major German and European cities through 130 long-distance trains daily. With Stasher, you can store your bag for €4.97 per bag per day

⁣Every booking comes with the Stasher Guarantee, which protects your bags up to €12,000. Stasher storage in Karlsruhe can be booked through the website or app.

Getting around Karlsruhe with bags

The Messe-Express bus runs from the Hauptbahnhof forecourt to the trade fair grounds in about 20 minutes, which helps if you're hauling luggage to an event there. On KVV trams and buses, hand luggage rides free, but anything larger means paying an adult fare. Carriage isn't a right either — staff can refuse an item if it endangers safety or disturbs other passengers. A direct airport transfer from Frankfurt Airport to Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof generally takes 1 hour 10 minutes.

Attractions: bag rules and lockers

The Staatliche Kunsthalle Karlsruhe lets bags up to A4 size inside, while anything bigger — along with backpacks, coats, and umbrellas — goes into free lockers or a cloakroom. Messe Karlsruhe may ban bags and rucksacks entirely, pointing you to a paid cloakroom instead. Arriving at either without a plan can cost time, so knowing the rule in advance is useful.

Exploring Karlsruhe

The hop-on hop-off CityTour bus starts at the Hauptbahnhof forecourt and loops through ZKM, the city centre, and Durlach, so it's a workable way to sightsee without dragging a suitcase everywhere. ZKM is one of Karlsruhe's best-known cultural attractions and among the world's most important art museums. The city draws business, science, and cultural travellers alike, with trade fairs and conferences keeping Messe Karlsruhe busy. Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport (FKB) lists London Stansted, Antalya, Palma de Mallorca, Porto, and Tirana among its current destinations.
