The location we used was very convenient to where we were staying, only a short walk. The young lady there was very good. Even though I don't speak Italian and she didn't speak much Eenglish we managed to find my booking and get it all sorted.

Fast and easy storage, mind that the luggage is not locked in as it just lays in the back of the reception desks.

Good customer service, but the place where the luggage was stored wasn't appropriate (not in a locked place, exposed to the clients of the store).

Luggage storage across Hong Kong

Hong Kong’s airport and main rail terminus both handle huge numbers of travellers passing through with bags, so knowing where each lets you leave your bags shapes the whole day. Hong Kong International Airport has a staffed storage desk on Level 5 of Terminal 1’s non-restricted area, open daily from 05:30 to 01:30 and charging HK$14 per hour or HK$165 per day for standard items.

West Kowloon Station, the terminus for high-speed rail to 73 mainland destinations, has no storage facility of its own, though footbridge connections to Austin and Kowloon stations put you on the MTR network quickly. With Stasher, you can store bags from US$1.49 per bag per day.

Getting around with luggage

The Airport Express reaches Kowloon Station in 25 minutes and Hong Kong Station in 24 minutes, running every 10 minutes through the day. If you’re flying out later, both those stations let you drop off checked baggage on the day of your flight, so you can head into the city without it. On the regular MTR, each passenger may carry one piece with total dimensions under 170 cm and no side over 130 cm, and the railway asks anyone with bulky baggage or trolleys to use the lifts and wide gates.

The high-speed rail rule is different: 20 kg total for adults, 10 kg for children, and each item must stay within 130 cm in combined dimensions. Hong Kong Tramways is the tightest of all, allowing only bags under 7 kg or 30 litres. The S1 bus connects the airport to Tung Chung Station, where passengers can transfer to the MTR Tung Chung Line.

Bag rules at major attractions

The Hong Kong Palace Museum refuses anything larger than 55 x 35 x 20 cm, including bags and luggage, so plan around that before you arrive. M+ Museum lets smaller bags into the galleries but anything over 30 x 42 x 10 cm has to go into its lockers or cloakroom first.

Asia Society Hong Kong Centre prohibits luggage, hand luggage and oversized backpacks outright, directing large bags to its cloakroom. The Hong Kong Museum of History takes a softer line, reserving the right to ask visitors to deposit personal belongings at its cloakroom rather than setting fixed limits. If you’re heading to Tsim Sha Tsui, Jordan or Mong Kok, the Citybus A21 runs directly from the airport along Nathan Road in roughly 70 to 90 minutes.
