The place is 5 min walk to the station. Spacious and clean. People I was dealing with were cooperative. The missing star in my review is because I had to call three different people on my pick up day to make sure one of them is at the place. Still definetely recommended.

Luggage storage in Cascais

Plenty of visitors to Cascais arrive from Lisbon with time to explore before check-in, and holiday rentals here rarely have anywhere to leave a bag.

The town's own airport has no luggage storage at all, and neither do the coastal spots visitors usually head to, so the practical question is what to do with a bag while you explore. Public transport is tolerant of luggage within limits, which helps, but doesn't solve the storage gap. Cascais has long been a favoured seaside escape, having developed as a summer residence for Portuguese royalty and nobility. Cascais station is centrally located, within walking distance of the historic centre, bus terminal, and the beaches of Praia da Conceição and Praia da Rainha. Artsy Cascais provides a luggage storage room for guests. The Santa Marta Lighthouse Museum is situated within the lighthouse and fort of the same name in Cascais. With Stasher, you can store bags from €1.49 per bag per day.

Arriving and leaving Cascais with luggage

Cascais Airport, 15 km out and set up for international traffic, has no left luggage or locker facility at all, so don't plan to drop a bag there before a flight. Most people arrive instead by train from Cais do Sodré station, a ride of 40 to 60 minutes that runs every 12 minutes at peak times and every 20 minutes off-peak. Coming from Lisbon Airport itself, the fastest public transport option takes about 1 hour 6 minutes, so a bag will be with you for a while before you can think about storing it.

Getting around Cascais with bags

Public transport in Cascais is fairly forgiving of luggage: services with designated compartments allow baggage free of charge up to 20 kg per person, and MobiCascais lets you carry hand luggage and small personal items on board without paying extra. That makes the short bus hop to Boca do Inferno, a cliff and sea-cave spot about 25 to 30 minutes on foot from the station, manageable with a day pack.

Casa da Guia, out towards Guincho and reachable on foot or by car from the marina, is another spot where you'll want your hands free, though a large suitcase would be awkward on the walk.
