Very simple, quick drop off and pick up at a staffed reception desk. Was in and out within a minute both times. Premier Inn being a well known brand means a very trusted location to leave your bag.

The staff at premises that I had booked for my luggage storage didnt know anything about me or the Stasher booking. At first I thought I had been scammed. She then called her boss who confirmed that yes the his premises was a Stasher agent. Talk about confused. I will say once it was all sorted out the lady in the store was very helpful and the shop premises was ideal to store luggage for either bus or train as was in easy 5 mins walking distance to either station. So have no problem in recommending this shop/ service

Luggage storage in Middlesbrough

Plenty of visitors arrive in Middlesbrough for a match at the Riverside or a meeting in one of the digital firms, and a bag left at the train station can quickly become a nuisance.

Middlesbrough sits on the southern bank of the River Tees, a port town in North East England that draws business and leisure travellers alike. Teesside Archives will hold your bags in a free locker while you research, but the football ground and Transporter Bridge have no such service, so drop-off points elsewhere in town make all the difference. With Stasher, you can store bags from £1.49 per bag per day.

Some top Stasher locations in Middlesbrough include:

Nearby points are hosted by hotel receptions. Every booking comes with the Stasher Guarantee, which protects your bags up to £10,000. Stasher storage in Middlesbrough can be booked through the website or app.

Arriving by train with luggage

Middlesbrough train station has step-free access to both platforms via lifts, so wheeled luggage won't need to be carried up stairs. Northern lets you bring up to three items per person — one large case up to 90 x 70 x 30cm, a cabin-sized bag, and a small backpack or handbag — but the operator asks you to keep everything out of aisles, doorways, and wheelchair spaces. That allowance is generous, though it still leaves you carrying whatever you bring through the town centre once you step off the train.

Venues and attractions: bag rules

Middlesbrough Town Hall, a ten-minute walk from the rail station, bans backpacks, holdalls, and any bag larger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm, so plan around it before you head to a show. The Middlesbrough Empire may send you to the venue's cloakroom to deposit prohibited items such as professional cameras, which means some bags and kit won't stay with you inside. STACK Middlesbrough has no cloakroom or luggage storage at all, and you must keep your bags with you the whole time you're there.
