Exploring the piers, promenade and nearby sights

Allow 45 to 90 minutes just for the piers, promenade and historic terminal buildings, or around two hours if you add the Alter Elbtunnel walk. In the main season from late March to November, many businesses at Landungsbrücken are open daily, from as early as 5:00 or 10:00 until 19:00 or 24:00.

Further along the harbour, the Elbphilharmonie and its public Plaza sit within reach of the Baumwall U3 stop, making it easy to combine with a Landungsbrücken visit. The Elbphilharmonie Plaza is open to the public daily from 10:00 to 24:00, with last admission at 23:30. Entry costs €5 per person, though concert ticket holders for the Grand and Recital Halls may access the Plaza for free starting two hours before their event.

The Alter Elbtunnel runs 426.5 metres beneath the Elbe and is decorated with ornate reliefs and decorative elements along its length.
