Good location next to Central Station, easy to find, only disadvantage could be a very old elevator if you don't like that

Uffizi Gallery: bag rules and storage
The Uffizi Gallery sits in the heart of Florence at Piazzale degli Uffizi 6, and the big thing to know before you arrive is that cumbersome bags stay out of the galleries themselves.
Suitcases of any size, trolleys, rucksacks, large backpacks and big umbrellas all have to be left in the cloakroom before you enter the museum, because there is no clear-bag rule here — the museum simply asks you to store anything bulky rather than carry it inside.
The good news is that the gallery runs a free cloakroom just after the entrances under the eastern colonnade of the courtyard, so leaving things there costs nothing. All visitors are subject to a security inspection using metal detectors before entering the Uffizi Gallery. With Stasher, you can store bags from €1.49 per bag a day at 20+ locations near the Uffizi Gallery.

Getting to the Uffizi with luggage
Santa Maria Novella station is about a 15–20 minute walk from the gallery, and it has a left-luggage desk inside on the ground floor near platform 16 and the Piazza Adua side. That desk is the station's own staffed storage service, so if you are arriving by train with bags, dropping them there before the walk over can save you carrying them through the centre.
If you are coming by bus instead, the nearest stop is Galleria degli Uffizi on Lungarno Archibusieri, a 3-minute walk from the entrance and served by line C1. The T2 tram connects Santa Maria Novella directly with Florence Airport, which is handy if you are flying in and out the same day.
Planning your visit around bags
The gallery opens Tuesday to Sunday from 8:15 am to 6:30 pm, and is closed on Mondays, 1 January and 25 December, so there is no point dragging a bag over on those days. A short itinerary takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, while the complete one runs more than 3, which affects how long you will need your bag stored elsewhere. A standard adult ticket costs €25 on the day or €29 in advance, and admission is free on the first Sunday of each month.
