Getting to the Hofburg with luggage

Herrengasse on the U3 line is the closest metro stop to the Hofburg, about four to five minutes away on foot. Tram lines 1, 2, D, and 71 stop at Burgring right next to the complex, and bus lines 1A and 2A serve Michaelerplatz a short walk away.
