Very friendly man in the shop. We had to put our suitcases in the basement. When we came back, wu could fetch our suitcase in the basement. It would have been easy to change the tag with a tag of another suitcase… But everything went fine and we could use the time from checking out of the apartment until we left the city for sightseeing. Everything was perfect.

Close to the Stadtpark and easy to use. Just mind that as this is a myflexbox, your stuff might get hot or freeze depending on the weather.

Vienna Erdberg: getting your bearings

Staying in an Erdberg flat without anywhere to leave your bags, or filling a stretch of time between sights, usually means dragging everything along. We help you find somewhere nearby to drop them instead.

A few major sights do provide their own cloakrooms or left-luggage facilities, while others turn large bags away outright. Erdberg belongs to Landstraße, Vienna's 3rd municipal district. The area is also known for the Arena Wien cultural venue and the Gasometer City complex. Travellers visit Erdberg for its blend of medieval history, industrial heritage, cultural venues, and modern amenities. The Vienna International Busterminal (VIB) sits right next to Erdberg U-Bahn station. Erdberg station is on the U3 metro line and has step-free access to the platforms. With Stasher, you can store bags from €1.49 per bag per day at 20+ locations across Vienna Erdberg.

Arriving and leaving Erdberg with luggage

The busterminal's opening hours matter if you're catching a late coach: Monday to Saturday it runs 7:30 a.m.–9:00 p.m., and Sundays and public holidays 10:30 a.m.–9:00 p.m., so outside those times there's no access to terminal facilities. The U-Bahn station itself has lifts to the platform, which makes heavier bags less of a struggle. The N75 night bus also serves Erdberg station.

Bag rules at Vienna's major sights

Stephansdom has no luggage depot, and from mid-October 2026 large suitcases and trolleys will be turned away entirely, so plan around that if you're arriving from the U1 or U3 at Stephansplatz.

The Vienna State Opera takes a different approach: its own free cloakrooms are where coats, jackets, rucksacks, suitcases, umbrellas and even musical instruments must be left before a performance. Karlsplatz station links the Vienna State Opera to lines U1, U2 and U4, while the Opera, Karlsplatz stop is served by lines 1, 2, D, 62, 71 and 59A.

The Albertina Museum is reachable from Karlsplatz/Oper or Stephansplatz, though its own bag rules aren't stated here.

Reaching the city and beyond

Wien Mitte is the city terminus for the City Airport Train, a direct non-stop run to Vienna International Airport, and it also anchors S-Bahn lines S1, S2, S3 and S7. For the Hundertwasserhaus, tram 1 at Hetzgasse puts you a two-minute walk away.

For visits with a ticket, Karlskirche is open Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and on Sundays and public holidays from 11:45 am to 7:15 pm.
