Only spent one night in Paris and, whilst the hotel I stayed in did offer free bag storage, I thought it would be easier to store my bags near the train station I was departing from than have to go all the way back to my hotel at the end of the day then have to go back into the city centre to catch my train. Booking was relatively easy - not all of the suggestions that appeared on the website covered the whole period I was searching for though, and I would have found it much easier if locations that were open hours per day were flagged, as I wasn't sure what time I'd feel like getting up and checking out in the morning when I booked my storage and it was nice to have the reassurance that even if something did go terribly wrong (for example a public transport of road problem) and I couldn't get back to collect my luggage before the time I was planning on catching the train, I could still collect everything I needed that night before beginning to worry about whether I could catch a later train or would need to find somewhere else to stay in Paris that night. In store experience was perfect once I reached the front of the queue, however at both drop off and collection there was a fair wait to be served. Wasn't too bad, but if you're in a rush to drop your bag off before joining a tour or to collect your bag before heading off to the station could be a bit annoying.

Landing in Paris with a bag and no room to check into yet?

Nearby, Père Lachaise Cemetery is easy to reach and free to enter, while the Parc de la Villette stays closed in the early hours. Luggage lockers previously located inside the Paris Gallieni bus station are no longer available. The bus station was located in the commune of Bagnolet, which is situated to the east of Paris. Getting Around Gallieni with Luggage

Local bus lines 76, 102, 122, 221, 318, and 351 still serve the Gallieni area, so you can reach surrounding neighbourhoods without the metro. A Bus-Tram ticket costs €2.05. The Gallieni metro station has stairs and escalators but no step-free access, which makes heavy luggage awkward. Step-free access is not available via the lifts at the adjacent station, so travellers with large bags or mobility needs should factor this in. A single metro trip from Gallieni into central Paris costs around €3.

Nearby Destinations: Père Lachaise and La Villette

Père Lachaise Cemetery, with its graves of famous figures and ornate monuments set in a large green space, is a short journey from Gallieni and free to enter with no timed tickets required.

La Villette is reachable via Metro lines 5 and 7, or Tramway line 3B, with several stations around the park. The Parc de la Villette opens daily except between 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., so an early-morning bag drop nearby would need planning. Gallieni was once a major hub for Eurolines international services, but that role has ended along with the terminal itself.
