Bagels are great, but 1 of 2 our bagels was done wrong, both type of bagel and stuffing.

Easy check-in and pick-up, great location with long hours. Staff were fine, but the storage setup felt a bit unsafe (no ID check, inside a barbershop). I’d recommend it for convenience, just be mindful and hope staff keep a closer eye on things.
- Christian
Friendly service, no problem being too early when dropping our luggage.

It was fine for what it is, a mid-size bodega. Could someone have stolen my backpack during the 2 and a half hours I needed a place to store it while I visited the nearby museum? Sure, but not easily, and not without basically being able to rob the cash register as well, so the bags were about as secure as you can hope for without actually being locked away into a lockable cabinet.

15 min from the stadium. A bit far but OK
- Paul
Used this for a trip to The MET and Central Park. Left 3 bags for over 6 hours. Easy and quick
- Liu
close to museum mile
- Nube
I had some doubts but everything was excellent, the service was quick and very friendly, the location is the best

Easy to find, only 2 blocks from the subway. Items were stored near checkout between some boxes and the vegetables. Bags were tagged with my name and phone number and ID checked upon pickup. Couldn’t have been easier and items were untouched.

Luggage storage and bag rules in Harlem
Harlem sits in northern Manhattan, a neighbourhood of distinct pockets where West Harlem stays mostly residential while Central Harlem draws people to its shops, restaurants and cultural life along the 125th Street corridor.
The Studio Museum in Harlem runs a free coat check on the Lower Level and requires visitors to check any bag larger than 14″x14″x4″, along with backpacks or anything that can't be worn on the front of the body; luggage itself is not permitted inside at all.
The Wallach Art Gallery has a similar policy with a smaller threshold, directing visitors with bags, backpacks or laptops bigger than 11 x 14 inches to its own on-site lockers. For a night at the Apollo Theater, oversized bags are prohibited outright, and whatever you do carry must fit comfortably under your seat. With Stasher, you can store bags from $2.49 per bag per day.
Every booking comes with the Stasher Guarantee, which protects your bags up to US$13,000. Stasher storage in Harlem can be booked through the website or app.

Getting to and around Harlem with luggage
Harlem is well connected by the New York City Subway, with ten lines and fifteen bus routes running through the area, and the Harlem-125th Street station links you to Metro-North's Harlem, Hudson and New Haven lines. The station connects to the subway's 125th Street stop and a string of MTA buses including the M60-SBS, M1, M35, M98, M101, M103 and M125, so swapping from commuter rail to local transit is straightforward. If you're headed to LaGuardia, the M60-SBS bus takes roughly 35 to 50 minutes from Harlem-125th Street station depending on traffic, which makes it a genuine option for getting to the airport with a bag in tow.
The Apollo Theater lies one block east of the 125th Street/St Nicholas Avenue subway station, served by the A, B, C and D trains, while the Wallach Art Gallery is only half a block from the 125th Street station on the 1 line.
Harlem's arts and cultural venues: storage rules
