It was very easy to store our luggage here, the staff were friendly and kind. It’s no longer called the Belgravia rooms though it has a different name which should be updated.

Arriving at Buckingham Palace with luggage

London Victoria is the nearest train station, about a 10-minute walk from the Palace. The train station's official left luggage facility is next to platform 8, while the separate coach station has its own official storage facility opposite the ticket office in the main departures area. Charing Cross Station offers left luggage in its Cab Passage entrance, run day-to-day by an outside operator.

Since the Palace runs a timed admission system and requires pre-booked tickets, your entry slot decides whether there is even time to double back for a stored bag.

Storing bags while visiting nearby sights

The National Gallery has a cloakroom on Level -1 of the Sainsbury Wing charging £3 per item, with a maximum size of 56 x 25 x 45 cm. Wheeled luggage, cabin bags, and suitcases aren't allowed inside at all, though, so don't count on it for anything with a handle.

The Criterion Theatre near Piccadilly Circus has no cloakroom that can take large bags, and the Leicester Square Theatre operates no cloakroom for visitors either, though small bags are permitted and may be subject to security searches.

By contrast, the Royal Court Theatre at Sloane Square checks in large bags or bulky items on the Stalls level for £1 per item, which is one of the more useful options this side of town.
